Jamie Day:

Dear Diary,

You wouldn't believe it but I've been sponsored by some drinking pirates in the fens! They're dead cool as they have a big ship, rum and some wenches (whatever they are).

Yes more nonsense from the Blue Moon people as they actually have sponsored a guy who they spent an entire season suggesting he can't handle his beer.

Alleged Mummy’s Boy and Playmobil fan Jamie entered the First team fold during the 05-06 campaign. Having come up through the youth system, Jamie’s hard-working and committed performances were appreciated by the fans, so much so that won the Young Player of the Year Award. A jinking left-sided player, employed as either an orthodox left midfielder or left wing-back, Jamie is always willing to take on the man and get a cross in. The PLC have a particular affinity with Jamie, not only in an appreciation of his work-rate, but also because of Blue Moon. One of the hit fanzines hit articles since its re-launch last season was a witty take on Jamie Day’s diary, particularly focusing on his youthfulness and the fact he wants to play with the bigger boys. Subsequently, the powers that be elected to use some of the proceeds from Blue Moon sales to sponsor Jamie Day’s kit for the 06-07 season.
