Blue Moon; the only fanzine dedicated to Peterborough United.

Football has changed dramatically since the heady days of the TPE in the 80s and 90s. With the advent and growth of the Internet, the humour, cynicism and critical comment of the football fan previously available in Fanzine’s have now been replaced by the world wide web. A couple of years ago, the idea of a Posh fanzine was restarted in the form of Blue Moon. However, after a couple of seasons the protagonists deemed it too much of a drain on their time and felt they did not have the resources to continue it, and so appealed for a new team to take it on. The PLC stepped up, and the new Blue Moon was born. Taking an often surreal, always humorous and critical view of life as a Posh fan, it has gone from strength to strength so far. After demand initially outstripped supply, the print runs have increased and the team has got bigger. The proceeds are used to support the club, as although critical at times as any fan and Fanzine should be, we are Posh fans after all. Blue Moon is sponsoring Jamie Day’s kit for the 06-07 season and we have given out free badges promoting ourselves. The first issue of the new season sold more on its first day of release than any other in total so far, so Blue Moon’s future looks promising.

The next issue will be released on the 23rd September to coincide with our glamour tie against Hartlepool.
