In January 2004 a visionary named Coluna realised he wasn't alone. Trawling through the inane, pointless comments on the Pub Talk Forum on www.posh.net he noticed that 2 people were responsible for much of the drivel. Furthermore he noticed that these 2 people both hailed from the same City. The very same city in which Coluna himself resided. This city was................Leeds.

It was Early January, Posh had just beaten Notts County 5-2, proving that there was life after Leon McKenzie. Optimism hung in the air like one of your Grans stale farts from Christmas Day. The dream of mid-table obscurity was very real.

Something strange happened when I logged onto www.posh.net that day. A box popped up telling me I had a private message. This was a first for me, I knew they existed but up until now no-one had felt the need to speak to me on a 1-2-1 basis. The message was from Coluna;

"Do you fancy meeting up in Leeds for the QPR Match?"

The QPR match was to be Live on Sky, in 6 weeks. Coluna seemed eager, Why? Did I really want to meet a complete stranger I met on the Internet? One who was trying to get me out 6 weeks in advance? Sarah Platt on Coronation Street had met someone on the internet and the general public were still trying to come to terms with the consequences of this. Was Coluna going to drug me, tie me up and try to have his way with me? But before the QPR match, there was the small matter of Sheffield Wednesday away, and we decided to meet then to make sure we weren't too weird.

These thoughts were still praying on my mind as the number 52 bus made its way, slowly, towards Leeds City Centre as me and the regulars on www.posh.net had arranged to meet up for the first time, at the Hillsborough. At least 30 people would be there, "They can't all be psychopathic killers" I'd reasoned. Besides did I really want to be a sad lonely old man with only a transistor radio and a soggy pie for company for the rest of my life or did I want travel, excitement and camaraderie?

Two other Posh fans from Leeds would be there apart from myself and Coluna and we had all agreed to meet at Wetherspoons at Leeds Train Station. The others were PoshTrev, the founder of the Cult of the One True Left Back and Davewam, who seemed to be having similar doubts to myself as he brought protection with him in the form of Ben, a Sheffield Wednesday fan.

After introductions the discussion moved quickly onto the Posh and more importantly who we felt were the greatest posh players we had witnessed. The general consensus was that Dominic Iorfa is the most underrated Posh player of all time. It was at this point I realised that I was safe. I was in the company of 3 like minded individuals, whose one true purpose in life was to follow Peterborough United, to spread the word of Iorfa to the masses. No-one was going kidnap me, anyone who rates Dominic Iorfa couldn't be capable of such a thing. It was in this moment that the PLC was born.
